hate it. a waste of time. can’t stand it. this fucking war – racism, religion and the american woman. i see the whole thing and it is almost impossible to manage as a human being. almost – at least for me.
i am kind, decent and sometimes/most of the time – strong. almost a fucking struggle. almost…
that is my 2 cents anyway – 3.00$ if you figure in the cost of living since the phrase was created…

my friend alex expresed the above line, ‘some stuff is sacred’, after discussing the glenn beck/tea party rally in washington d.c. coming up. first off i cannot believe he is organizing the rally at the ‘mall’ on the anniversary of dr. martin luther king’s, ‘ i have a dream’ speech. as my friend alex pointed out, ‘some stuff is sacred.’
i know there is reverse racism okay, but to actually react to it as a white person or somebody from europeon descent, is kind of childish, ya know? i mean since the beginning of our country and the social and political policies of america has been pretty squed and racist at times. from some of the political decisions from supporting pinochet in south america, to vietnam – at times – to kissinger and reagen influences in south and central america; a lot of our policies have been pretty tortured to the poor, the needy, the farmer, the indigenous and to people of color.
white people – at least the white person everybody and thier italian and polish grandmother are used too are kind of going away. even though i absolute love and miss my italian grandmother, the ‘typical’ american is changing. it is more latino and hispanic. it is more black and brown. it more asian and ethnic. it is more middle eastern than wasp. and believe me it is going to stay that way forever, at least in my lifetime. so i do understand why white people are nervous. christ i am white – brought up in a left of center – sometimes marxist family – mostly from my dad who was pretty radical in the sixties and even i feel a little threatened. it is hard to get used you. very hard at times. people are marrying and dating and having families cross culturally and cross religion and race. you can’t stop it. glenn beck cannot stop it, and the tea party cannot stop it, no one can…well that is an understatement, right? just look at good ole’ adolf hitler and the nazi’s. christ they almost made it, why not the tea party?
i told you again and i will tell you know, i believe in god, the scriptures and prophets and healers are my master, i am a pretty conservative guy – low taxes – hate debt – i support and love the troops, but you cannot stop this generation and the cross cultural intermingling. it is impossible and why would you want to? this generation coming up are beautiful. the generations that are alive now in our lifetime, are beautiful. we are all children of god, man. don’t you understand?
anyway – please – whomever is reading this, with all your brightness and shades of gray, not all ‘white’ people are bigots and racist. not all patriots, are white and not all patriots are bigoted. i love you, i really do.

i am going to try to write more on this blog. sleepy, sleepy, sleepy. i went to an aa meeting today with a good friend. it is his 23,24 or 25 anniversary of being sober! good for him. i love my buddy. great experience going to the aa meeting with him. good people. great hearts.
i am so worried about nuclear war in the middle east. i am a patriot, okay. a good one. i love my country. but, sad to say, i am really overwhelmingly concerned about the growing influence of the tea party and the neo-consevativism base that is hoping and boiling to be in power. i am a republican. a fiscal conservative. hate debt and credit cards. pro-business with oversight to keep the idiots in line. i love our Constitution, military and yes even at times the patriot act. i believe in god. god in all his names. i love the Gospel and consider Christ as my master, as a teacher and as a messiah, as well as a mediator and a healer. that said – because believe me, with the fascists on both sides coming up the block, you have to explain yourself…the next white house and the next congress is kind’ of scary. maybe not – but it is starting to scare me. as a country – no one is sure what to do about the middle east – ie. Israel, Iran and the rest. Iraq – which was called the garden of Eden in the Torah, the Bible and i believe the Koran, is starting to be a cauldron again. Iran will not shut up and stop going nuclear and Israel will not shut up and stop building settlements. it is frightening and worrying me to my core at times…
anyway – love and peace – josh

it’s been a while since i wrote in my blog. lots going on. mostly good. life is a miracle, plus i have all four working limbs, my eye sight, seeing, hearing and smelling – so all is good.
i wish i had a woman in my life at times. to touch, caress and take a nap with. maybe someday.
the tri state trek was really good, tough and emotionally hard as hell. i met and rode with some interesting and very kind and tough people. all of them affected by lou gehrigs disease and the motions and back and forth of life. i hope i did not offend anyone on the trip. i was mostly all business and i tried to tear up the rode as best as i could.
well – be well and god bless – oh- and – i just moved to my new apartment in albany new york. all good and well worth it…josh

I took this photo at a monastic retreat at the Abbey of the Genesee in Piffard, NY – south of Rochester. A group of Trappist monks live there. They are farmers, bakers and contemplatives living a life of solitude, devotion to god and the community. The Blessed Mother, like a lot of Monasteries and Abbey’s, is the patron Saint and Protector of their community. I have developed a devotion and love for the Blessed Mother as well as the saints and the prophets over a number of years. No harm in it…just blessings, love, comfort and a mystery that is beautiful and awful at the same time.

caught this with my dad in mexico – 4.2005. i will not be fishing in the ocean for a long time now due to the absolute, travesty, catastrophe, pain and disappointment from the bp oil spill in the gulf. if i do fish it will be light tackle in fresh water and fly fishing in new england waters. that is what i will try to do. no more. the ocean is too beautiful. too rare in the universe and a blessing from heaven. god be with your souls and lord we need your help….joshua morrell – 6/13/2010
